At least 66 acres of land within the gazetted and protected Oloolua Forest have been subdivided and allocated to 41 individuals and companies.
The forest is within Karen area-Nairobi County.
Friends of Oloolua Forest (FoOF) and Public Interest Litigation and Advocacy for the Environment (PILAE) have partnered and rushed to court to block the annexation of the forest.
The two said efforts to block the grabbing of the land have been futile.
A total of 5 cases have been filed at the Environment and Land Court in Nairobi to challenge the 41 titles.
FoOF has urgently called for help from the Public to Protect this forest.
The group is raising funds to assist with litigation and advocacy.
