Garisa Town MP Aden Duale last week distributed saloon equipments to several youth Groups in Garisa.
The MP said the move was part of women empowerment.
“We distributed saloon equipment and products for use including foot wash machine, hairdryer, blow-dryer, steam hair wash, modern hair wash seats and assorted chemical products to 15 women groups known as Paradise Saloon,” he said.
The MP said the youths are young and talented.
He added that they are running a skilled and innovative women business enterprise that require a start-up investment in their area of expertise (Saloon and beauty care).
“With this support, they will commence their venture immediately. Women are the pillars of our society, and I am confident that their small profession will inspire others,” he said.
The former Majority leader said it is part of his leadership to empower individuals, groups, and communities to create reliance on economic activities to eradicate poverty.
Duale said the result will be a better Kenyan economy.
Late in the week, the MP joined friends and hustlers in the famous Mama Caleb food court in Nairobi- famous for its pocket-friendly delicious African dishes.
“I interacted with the youths doing small businesses in town and shared their experiences. Our discussion focused on youth empowerment program that is becoming the Kenyan agenda going forward,” he said.
He thanked Mama Caleb (from Nyamira County) for making pocket-friendly meals for young people doing small business in Nairobi.
The discussion and conversation in our country must fundamentally be geared towards empowering the hustler’s nation- he said.
