Ex Embakasi East MP John Ogutu Omondi celebrated his birthday yesterday with HIV orphaned kids in Zanzibar.
The MP told Hot News he flew to the Island to relax and enjoy the cool breeze from the Indian ocean.
He however declined to reveal his age.
However, he said he felt its necessary to give back to society and share a meal with the less fortunate.
He bought food stuffs and donated cash to the Children’s Home.
“I chose to go to Zaso Children’s Home in Zanzibar. I talked to the kids and encouraged them to work hard and smart in school. Despite losing their parents- I encouraged them to know that they will still succeed in life,” he said.
Modester Ngaula, the Human Resource Manager at Zanzibars prestigious Hotel Verde thanked Omondi for the gesture.
She said the Hotel supports the Orphanage and encouraged visitors to Zanzibar to visit the Orphanage.
