A 6-year-old boy is the latest to succumb to Covid-19.
Health CAS Mercy Mwangangi announced on Friday.
This brings to 4, the number of people in Kenya who have died of Covid-19.
She said Kenya has recorded 12 more Covid-19 cases.
Out of the 12, one is a Somali and the rest Kenyans.
The six-year-old had a pre-existing condition dubbed “immune suppression”
Health Ministry Director General Patrick Amoth said the current trend is local transmission.
Staff that handled the deceased child are in quarantine, the ward disinfected and all other safety measures taken-Amoth said.
Trade CS Betty Maina said the facemasks being manufactured locally should not retail for more than shs 20.
