Deputy President William Ruto on Wednesday told President Uhuru Kenyatta that he will keep and secure his legacy should he become President.
Speaking during Mashujaa Day celebrations at Wangu’ru Stadium in Kirinyaga County, Ruto said he will complete all projects that Uhuru will not have completed once he leaves office.
“My opponents and I can assure you that we will be tolerant and peaceful. We will protect this Country because we have nowhere else to go,” he said.
He deviated from his constant attacks of the President and Odinga after referring to the duo last week as “Tapelis” (conmen).
He praised President Uhuru’s work.
Ruto thanked Uhuru for devolving the National celebrations which he said has brought lots of transformation to the counties.
