A Kitale businessman was on Thursday cremated at Kitale’s Machinjoni Crematorium.
Natubhai Tanna, a brother to business tycoon Paresh Tanna died aged 83 after a long illness.
A funeral ceremony took place at their Milimani residence.
A number of Senior County Government officials attended the ceremony with Governor Natembeya’s message of condolence being read by his Deputy Philomena Kapkory.
Natembeya eulogized Natubhai as a patriot and a business mentor to many.
The Governor said he laid a good business foundation which led to conomic transformation of Kitale.
“It is unfortunate that death has robbed us of one of Trans Nzoia and Kenya’s most distinguished businessman. His sacrifice helped to lay a firm foundation on the progress being witnessed “Natembeya said.
He mentored many who wanted to venture into business.
He prayed to God to strengthen the family during the difficult period.
Paresh Tanna, the family’s spokesperson said the family will greatly miss Natubhai’s love and care.
The ceremony was also attended by Public service CEC Samson Ojwang, Water chief officer Dorothy Nyukuri and several businessmen.
