Shahid Yakub is a Kenyan philanthropist.
He has been traversing different parts of the country to support the needy and the Covid-19 pandemic did not stop him and his team.
Last weekend through a programme dubbed “Feed A Family” whose founders include his family members and friends, they donated meat to 3,500 households in Kilifi,Garsen,Nairobi and Maragua.
He said the distribution was made possible where members oversaw different locations.
Each team slaughtered animals and distributed meat to residents while observing Covid-19 protocols.
Yakub said he is grateful to the sponsors of the “Feed A Family Programme”.
They include Al-Hakeem Trust, Speedtech Africa , Moto Moto Africa Ltd, Ahmed Yakub Family Trust and Fiysabilillah Compassionate.
He said despite limited resources, they have been able to support the needy in the society.
“Eid -Al- Adha is a day of celebration, and it gives us satisfaction and contentment in our hearts when we are able to celebrate it with the less privileged,” Yakub told Hot News.
