Several Youths drawn from different political Parties have thrown their weight behind the handshake and Building Bridges Initiative.
The youth under the umbrella group- Embrace Youth Movement- applauded President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga what they called immense nationalism.
They said the two leaders have united Kenyans.
Speaking at a press conference in Nairobi the youth said that the young generation has heeded the call to embrace peace, unity and issue-based politics in the country.
They said whenever elections are around; the youth have been used to propagate violence and divisive politics.
Led by the Embrace Chairman Saidi Hashi, they said the youth have been the direct victims of ethnic clashes, disruption of business and lack of employment.
Hashi said the movement will present the youth perspectives to the Building Bridges Initiative.
