The Kenya Film Classification Board CEO Ezekiel Mutua on Friday insulted former CJ Willy Mutunga on twitter.
This is after they clashed when Mutua called for support and prayers for elected leaders.
Mutua had said that no country has ever progressed by hating its leaders.
He said this through his official Twitter account and challenged citizens to contribute individually to the development of the country amid criticism from the former Chief Justice and Kenyans On Twitter.
Mutua wrote, “No country has ever progressed by hating it’s leaders. If you don’t like them, change them, but once you elect someone into office, for heaven’s sake support them, pray for them and do your part as a citizen to contribute to the development of your country.”
In response Mutunga replied, “I believe the evidence points to the leaders hating and killing the people they lead as they continue to under-develop the countries they rule.”
Mutunga’s remarks angered the “moral police officer” who did not mince his words.
He told Mutunga via a tweet, “Wewe nyamaza. Kula pension quietly. Didn’t you know this when you were the Chief Justice?”
A psychology lecturer who requested anonymity told Hot News psychologists observe that people like Ezekiel Mutua who deviate from the elements of the argument and start attacking personalities of the opponent suffer esteem deficiency.
He said they are threatened to the core and an attack of the person of the opponent in an argument is the most effective weapon to prevent them from a defeat which would injure their ego.
Some KOT weighed in by lecturing Mutua the best way they could. Steve Martin’s tweeted, “I wonder if Ezekiel Mutua ever considered praying for the artist with immoral content as he calls them before banning them.”
Another ‘twitterer’ Corruption Tracker said, ” How do you support someone who takes Covid-19 funds and buys a Kibuyu worth Sh 100 at whooping Sh 10, 000? A pen costs Sh 20 but ‘leaders’ buy it at Sh 8700? Support? Pray? Development?

Another Twitter user known as Everything and Nothing,Kemet, said Mutua is a beneficiary of electoral fraud and has no authority to lecture anybody.
“A beneficiary of electoral fraud…you cannot lecture anybody about morality, if you had any principles you would have looked at circumstances surrounding your appointing authority and refused the job….but like many Kenyan pastors, you put money before anything.”
It is not the first time but severally, the KFCB boss and former CJ have been dismissing each other publicly.
In 2019, Mutunga dismissed Mutua’s ban of ‘Tetema’ song by singer Diamond and Sailors Gang’s ‘Wamlambez’ song saying they were immoral and should only be played in bars and nightclubs.
Mutunga then, told Mutua to leave the youth to dance while Mutua should only concentrate dancing to the old school tunes.
“Wacha vijana wacheze bwana! Wewe endelea kucheza twist na Kung Fu.”
This is loosely translated as,”Let the youths dance. You (Mutua) can continue enjoying Twist and Kung Fu style of music.”
At the time Mutua stated that it was embarrassing to see even national leaders singing and dancing to the obscenity in public.
Both Mutua and Mutunga come from the Kamba community in Eastern region of Kenya.
Mutua hails from Machakos county while Mutunga is a resident of Kitui county.
