President Uhuru Kenyatta and First lady Magaret Kenyatta have received their Huduma Namba cards.
They received the cards from Attorney General Kihara Kariuki.
“The Huduma Namba cards are complete. As soon as MPs complete the process of appointment of a Data commissioner, they will be issued out,” said Interior CS Fred Matiangi.
On October 13th, President Uhuru Kenyatta nominated Immaculate Kassait as a Data Commissioner.
She is wife to Tiaty MP William Kamket and current director for voter education, Partnership and Communication at IEBC.
10 other Kenyans were issued with the cards.
They are Laban Siro, Evans Bosire, Aloyce Moseti, Sylvester Mose, Boniface Moseti, Evans Gwao, Kevin Bwire, Lawrence Omambia, Evans Mose and Henry Nyabuto.
During the official launch of the Services dubbed National Integrated Information Management Systems (NIIMS) (Huduma Namba) Uhuru said its aimed at providing a digital national population register which will be a single source of truth of personal data on all Kenyans and foreign nationals who reside in the Country.
