The “deep state” and senior government officials are in panic mode after former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko said the state sponsored chaos in 2017.
Speaking during a church event while in the company of DP Ruto in Dagoreti South on Sunday, Sonko said that in 2017 during ODM demonstrations, he and Kibicho printed ODM t-shirts.
“We then bought second-hand vehicles and burnt them along Ngong Road so that people would say it’s ODM. It was the deep state and the system,” he told the cheering crowd.
He accused senior government officials of doing the same to frustrate DP Ruto camp.
“They now want to rock the Hustlers narrative. We know their tricks and we won’t allow that,” he said amid ululations.
His remarks have sent shockwaves among senior government officials who now live in fear knowing that their dark secrets will be leaked.
Media reports indicated that Interior PS Karanja Kibicho headed to DCI headquarters to record a statement on what he knows about the claims.
