A group of youth from Trans Nzoia, Bungoma and Kakamega Counties have lauded the Communication Authority of Kenya Board for appointing former IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba as the Director General.
Meeting at a Nairobi Hotel, the youth said Chiloba is qualified to occupy the position and will serve the Country well.
Led by Mark Wanjala, the youths said Chiloba should not be castigated for what happened during the last elections because he can’t be single handedly blamed for all the wrongs.
On Tuesday, Chiloba was appointed the Communications Authority Director General.
In a statement by CA, the Authority chairman, Kembi Gitura, said Chiloba will fill the vacancy left following Francis Wangusi’s retirement.
He will serve in this position for a renewable period of four years.
“Chiloba is a young man. His career should not be cut short by jealous people who don’t want him to succeed. He deserves any other position in this country,” Wanjala said.
The youth called on Kenyans to support Chiloba in his new role.
