Jubilee Youth leaders want the Party’s top brass and legislators to contribute food to poor households.
The youth leaders led by Samuel Mundia said this will cushion the poor from effects of Covid-19.
“As part of the youth league in the party, we recommend that the party in its infinite wisdom and in the spirit of goodwill, should issue out food aids and other essential services in the country. We recommend the issuing out of food and other essential goods to the low-income residents as well as to orphanages and the homes of the elderly,” Mundia said.
In the letter addressed to President Uhuru Kenyatta, DP William Ruto and SG Raphael Tuju, Mundia said Jubilee should use “our network in grassroots as Jubilee youth league,”
He said they have a leader in every polling station that they can use to identify and ascertain location or area of residence of the less privileged in the society.
The youth said they are willing and able to help in the distribution of these donations throughout the country through their local political youth leaders who are spread all over.
“Politics will come and go but the people of Kenya will live on for generations. Let us not go down in history as one of the poorest service-oriented party in Kenya by our insensitivity to the plight of Kenyans,” Mundia said.
