The former Chairman of the Lake Basin Development Authority (LBDA) Odoyo Owidi last weekend carried out a successful UDA membership drive in Kasipul.
When he arrived at the Kisumu Airport to fly to Nairobi, he was met by traditional dancers.
In a video that has gone viral, he is seen dishing out wards of cash to the dancers.
In ululation, the women dance and praise him in song.
Several leaders from Nyanza have shunned the Airport and blamed the locals for demanding handouts from them.
The leaders who include MPs, Senators and Governors, have blamed the residents for begging and opted to use the Eldoret Airport.
The residents have in turn blamed the leaders for being selfish.
“How can you blame the airport management to curb this,” a resident commented on Odoyo’s video as he splashed wards of cash to the dancers.
