Majority Leader in the National Assembly Aden Duale has been retained in what has been termed as a sterling performance.
Jubilee and ODM have had their leaders in the National Assembly and the Senate replaced.
On Tuesday morning during a Jubilee Parliamentary Group meeting at State House, National Assembly Majority Whip Benjamin Washiali and his deputy nominated MP Cecily Mbarire were axed.
Navakholo MP Emmanuel Wangwe replaced Washiali while Igembe North MP Maoka Maore replaced Mbarire.
The axe will next week fall on Committee chairs in Parliament.
The State House meeting was attended by Deputy President William Ruto.
Most of those who have been axed are Ruto’s men.
At least 212 MPs attended.
An MP who attended the meeting said Duale was praised for successfully ensuring the Government busines sailed through in Parliament.
“Even his fiercest critics acknowledged that he has done well. He deserves the position,” said an MP who sought anonymity.
