Ford Kenya has announced that it will take disciplinary action against Kabuchai MP Majimbo Kalasinga for decamping to DP William Rutos wing.
The party’s top organs said they are considering expelling the MP who was elected early this year in a bye election after the death of MP James Mukwe.
The party also distanced itself from DP Ruto and said it’s firmly in the One Kenya Alliance.
The party accused Kabuchai MP Majimbo Kalasinga of advancing selfish interests and abandoning the party that sponsored him to parliament.
While DP William Ruto was touring Bungoma last Friday, Majimbo joined him.
Kalasinga said that DP William Ruto has gained footing in Western Kenya.
Majimbo went on the tell the crowd that Ford Kenya Party leader Moses Wetangula and Senate Speaker Ken Lusaka had sent them greetings.
“When you see Majimbo Kalasinga and Evans Kakai here, Kabuchai is a closed close. We in Chwele and Bungoma in general, are one and the same. We will support you,” he said.
While speaking, Sirisia MP John Waluke and former MP aspirant Evans Kakai were by his side.
National Organizing secretary Chris Mandu Mandu said those are his own remarks and they do not represent the party position.
“As a party, we do not share into his sentiments. Those are his views. Ford Kenya is strong in Western Kenya and it remains so,” Mandu said.
Ford Kenya has also warned its members and those elected on its ticket from campaigning for its rivals.
The party said all those who think other parties are strong, will have it rough in the next elections since they won’t be given the Ford Kenya ticket.
