National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale has told COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli to go hug a transformer if he wishes.
Duale was quoted by the Star newspaper telling off Atwoli after he Atwoli said Duale should be axed as the Majority leader.
The paper reported on its online edition that Atwoli thanked Senators for kicking out its deputy Speaker Kithure Kindiki.
Atwoli reportedly said Duale should also be axed.
Atwoli vowed to campaign for Duale’s removal.
However, the paper reported that Duale told off Atwoli that his position is properly constituted.
Duale said Atwoli is not even a member of Jubilee.
The Garisa Town MP said Atwolis is illiterate and cannot understand article 108 of the constitution.
“I want to tell him that elders of his age in the country spend more time in mosques praying to Allah to give us peace and to keep at bay this Covid-19 that is causing trouble to our people. They do not wear chains like Atwoli.” Duale told the local Daily.
Duale asked Atwoli to focus on his retirement and that he will not be scared.
