Two men who hope to clinch the Kwanza Parliamentary seat in 2022 faced off on Saturday during a funeral in kwanza, Trans Nzoia county.
The two competed to steal the show and impress mourners.
2017-Kwanza aspirant Nicholas wamalwa told off Keiyo MCA Emmanuel Waswa for competing him for the seat in 2022.
During a funeral ceremony of Dr Augustine Wanyonyi, Wamalwa said he is the right person who can oust the current MP Ferdinand Wanyonyi.
He said he is conversant with the entire constituency after unsuccessfully failing to oust Wanyonyi in 2017.
“You can’t just seduce a girl once and then marry her the first day, I started seducing this girl in 2017 and by 2022, it will be my duty to marry and impregnate her immediately,” Wamalwa said amid laughter and cheers.
Waswa said after serving as an MCA twice in Keiyo, he can improve if given an opportunity to serve as MP.
“You have to tell people first what you have done for Keiyo people before asking for promotion” Wamalwa told off Waswa.
Other leaders present were area MCA Ben Mulipuko,2017 Saboti aspirant Milca Psiwa, Sitatunga ward aspirant Vitalis Kisongochi and aspiring MP for Saboti Humphrey Simatwa.
Mulipuko asked residents to back him for the same position in 2022.
Wamalwa asked the BBI committee to produce the copies for locals to read and make decisions on where to improve.
He said BBI should address unemployment among the youth and improve livelihoods.
Wamalwa said Kenya needs a powerful Prime Minister with two Deputies.
“The PM should be powerful and not necessarily an MP as the first draft advocates, there is need for concerted efforts to be employed to ensure it improves the livelihoods of the ordinary Kenyans “he added.
Dr Wanyonyi who served as a Medical officer in Kapenguria died last week from excessive vomiting.
