After resigning from Governor Sonko’s administration, former Education CEC Janet Ouko is back at City Hall.
Ouko had fallen out with Sonko.
In a strange twist, acting Governor Benson Mutura reinstated her
Lucia Mulwa who was the education CEC was sent to the nonexistent Agriculture, fisheries, and livestock development sector.
Jairus Musumba was appointed the acting County Secretary after Sonko’s man Justus Kathenge was axed.
“We are jut doing re-alignments and no one is being targeted. We thank you for the great services to the County of Nairobi.” Mutura told Kathenge as he sacked him.
Paul Mutungi was appointed Chief of Staff.
Activist Brian Weke was appointed legal advisor to the Governor.
“Acting Governor Benson Mutura makes illegal appointments to the Nairobi County executive; powers that he doesn’t have. This includes the purported reinstatement of Ms. Janet Muthoni Ouko who resigned,” posted one Geoffrey Mosoku on facebook.
