A brand-new market in Kiserian town has started operating, taking in 1,200 traders.
The market was on Monday commissioned by Governor Joseph Ole Lenku.
This has opened a new chapter for the business community that has been selling its foodstuffs and wares on the roadsides causing traffic jams in Kiserian town.
While opening the market, Governor Lenku extended a waiver of market levies to the traders to cushion them from the costs of relocation.
The new market will be operated for 24 hours with security enhanced and an alternative source of power will be installed in case there is a black out.
