Vihiga United have unveiled former Kericho Zoo Coach Sammy Okoth and his Vihiga Queens counterpart Alex Alumira as the new caretaker officials.
The team is fighting relegation.
Vihiga United chairman Kahi Indimuli said the changes are meant to improve the team’s performance.
Indimuli said the two have vast experience and will unite and motivate the team.
He said Okoth has done great work at Zoo, same to Alumira whose record in national women football is perfect.
Okoth thanked the management of Vihiga united for putting its trust in him.
He promised to work with other stakeholders to ensure the team is successful.
“I believe we have a heavy task lying ahead of us but we promise that we are equal to the task with the vast experience we have at national level, we need the support of each stakeholder for us to succeed,” Okoth said.
Mike Mururi was sacked early this week together with his assistants for allegedly having managed only three wins in a total 24 matches forcing the team to lose points.
