Iran has admitted to shooing down the Ukrainian plane that crashed and killed 172 people.
Iran Revolutionary Guards Corps Commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh said Iran regrets the decision.
Addressing Iranian Media, Amir Ali told the world he had warned all commercial flights to be suspended until tensions between Iran and US were over.
The CNN said.
The plane was downed 2 days after the killing of the Iranian top commander by the US.
US President Donald Trump said that Qaseem Soleimani was planning a series of attacks on US Embassies abroad and had to “taken out of the battlefield”.
Soleimani was killed in Iraq.
Iran had planned to retaliate the killing.
The plane was downed when a “ground to air missile hit it”.
Iran said after firing several missiles at US bases in Iraq, they accidentally shot down the plane thinking the US forces were firing back.
82 Iranians and 63 Canadians are among those who were killed.
Ukrain, Canada and other Countries want an apology.
