David Koros, the CEO of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), is under scrutiny for mismanaging resources.
Under his direction, a vehicle with registration number KCH 995Q has been parked for the past three weeks in a contested parking spot along Loita Street, Nairobi.
This action seems to be aimed at blocking access to the area.
Previously, social media reports highlighted another issue: a white NSSF truck, abandoned for over two years, was left in the same vicinity, opposite KCB Kipande House.
The purpose of this vehicle’s extended stay remains unclear, and it has reportedly been used by some street families as a makeshift shelter.
During recent Gen Z protests, which focused on high living costs and government inefficiencies, several protesters questioned the long-term presence of the truck, which had its registration plates obscured.
A security guard at KCB Kipande House revealed that the truck’s placement was a directive from Koros, intended to obstruct access to a disputed parking area owned by the NSSF.
This situation underscores ongoing concerns about resource wastage within the government.
The protests also highlighted public frustration with inefficiencies, high living costs, and the need for reduced taxes and government spending.
