Former Dujis MP and now Garrisa Town MP Aden Duale has for a long time been a close ally and political confidant of President William Ruto.
Duale has been with Ruto through thick and thin.
They were both founding members of the ODM Party and vigorously campaigned for Raila Odinga in 2007 elections.
On 26th August 2011, Duale together with President William Ruto were sacked from the Cabinet by then Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Duale was assistant minister for Livestock since 2008.
President Ruto, t then Eldoret North MP was Agriculture Minister.
Latter, they joined hands and formed the URP Party in 2013.
Together, they moved on and joined the Jubilee Party in 2017.
The duo latter left Jubilee and formed the UDA Party that has propelled President William Ruto to State House.
The duo has developed a close working relationship and its only fit and worthy that Duale should be part of President William Ruto’s Cabinet.
Since they share the same political views and aspirations, Duale is in a good position to implement President William Ruto’s Agenda.
He should be handed one of the key ministries like Internal Security or Transport and Public Works.
This is because Duale has served in Parliament as a Majority Leader and understands the legislative work and had a stint in the executive as an Assistant Minister.
He has the experience and is a seasoned politician.
Coming from North Eastern part of the Country, he should be one of the cabinet appointees to represent the people of North Eastern in the Cabinet.
He is also a unifying factor since he has proved in the past that he is an individual who can work with all Kenyans.
Duale also fought hard and went around the Country campaigning for President William Ruto.
He has served under two heads of State that is the Late Mwai Kibaki and Uhuru Kenyatta and will bring the great experience he has gained in the past.
With all this in mind, Duale fits the bill as a Cabinet Secretary and there is no doubt that he will want President William Ruto to succeed.
President William Ruto should therefore list him as his first choice for the Interior Ministry or Transport.
