Refusal by a land registrar at the coast to move from her former working station to Nairobi headquarters has shocked many workers at the Lands Ministry.

In the transfers which were effected at the lands ministry affecting a dozen officials have seen the Mombasa deputy lands registrar Josephine Rama allegedly refuse to move from Mombasa to Nairobi.

The move has surprised her fellow workers in Mombasa and at the Ardhi house headquarters.

Rama who is a Coastarian and formerly serving at Kajiado lands offices before she was transferred to Mombasa six years ago- is said to be boasting at the coast that She can`t be moved from there and her transfer is just “cosmetic”

“Madam Rama has totally refused to move from here to Nairobi and says that she`s here to stay and claims that she has the blessings of senior government officials at the headquarters. She says the officials can’t allow her to be transferred” said a source.

She dropped names like Nyandioro and Clara Kadianga as the people shielding her.

Kadianga is a senior officer at the lands ministry working in the human resource department and involved in guiding the Principal secretary Nixon Korir on transfers of land officers.

Rama who is said to love the pleasure of good life at the Coast is said to have allegedly been involved in a number of illegal transactions.

A good example as explained by our source is a transaction involving the charge of property worth Sh5 million in Nyali where its claimed that after the deal- she went for a shopping in Dubai and AbuDhabi.
