Six people in Busia, four of whom were placed under self-quarantine after arriving into the country from the United Kingdom, United States, South Africa and Dubai have tested negative of Covid -19.
Addressing the press after co-chairing the County Corona Emergency Committee meeting at Busia County Referral Hospital, Busia Deputy Governor Moses Mulomi said all the six including two suspects have been given a clean bill of health.
The DG said 36 people including 31 from Samia Sub County who had attended a funeral in Rongo have been quarantined for 14 days as the health technical team monitor their status.
Reports indicate that the team was blocked from disembarking from the bus by Rongo police, forcing them to sleep in the bus.
They were escorted to the border before being handed to Busia police.
They were ferried to their home to self-quarantine.
The bus will be sprayed by public health officers before it’s declared safe for use.
