The County Government of Taita Taveta has called on residents to clear bushes on roads leading to Health facilities.
This is to ensure ease of access in cases of emergencies and in case any Covid -19 patients need to be rushed to hospital.
The department of Public Works, Transport and Infrastructure has also started grading roads.
Speaking today at Kishushe after inspecting the ongoing grading works for Kishushe -Mbela secondary school -Telenyi-Paranga and Kishushe-Mwakilemba roads, Public works CEC Gasper Kabaka said that the bushes along the roads are hampering the grading works.
He added that the department has been facing the challenge of uncooperative members of the public who fail to do their part in realizing development in the county.
“We are working with the Health department to see that all roads leading to the facilities and quarantine centers are in good condition to ensure quick response in cases of emergency,”Kabaka said.
He was accompanied by Edward Lenjo and roads officers Freygod Shwashwa and Jackson Mwasighwa.
