The colorful party that included a concert was held at the Kenya National Theatre in Nairobi.
The ceremony was graced by both local and international artists.
The concert in particular featured all- female orchestra and several solo performances that left the audience in awe.
The fete gave the artists an opportunity to showcase their prowess in playing different instruments used for classical and African music.
“We intend to unite women in the whole of Africa through music,” said Wandiri Karimi, the director of Kenya Conservatoire of Music.
She said this year the institution only managed to invite female artists from Uganda because of budgetary constraints.
She called on well wishers to support the annual event which was first organized in 2017 adding that next year the event will be tremendous.
Karimi noted that women are products of boy child whom they also appreciate.
