The Catholic church has temporarily banned physical greetings in church to curb the spread of the deadly corona virus.
The Catholic Bishops asked faithful to wave at each other during the exchange if peace during Holy Mass.
Ina statement, the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops asked Priests and Faithful’s to observe high levels of hygiene.
The statement signed by Fr Daniel Rono, the KCCB Secretary General on behalf of the Chairman Bishop Philip Anyolo said all faithful’s will receive the Sacrament of Holly Communion with their hands.
Holy water has been temporarily removed from the churches and faithful’s asked to request it in bottles and carry it home for use.
“We encourage any person who suffers from a cold to abstain from Holy Mass until they recover,” the Bishops said.
