A Kitale Catholic school that emphasizes on discipline has recorded good results in the just released KCPE.
In the results that were released on Monday, St Eucylus Primary school recorded a mean score of 369.
According to the head teacher, Sister Catherine Kioko, the pupils were disciplined and hardworking.
With a total of 41 candidates in a day school, 11 students scored 400 marks and above while 29 scored between 350 and 399.
One scored 281 marks.
“Our focus is normally on producing pupils with good character and therefore our effort to instill discipline has fueled the good results that we have today “said Sister Kioko.
Kioko thanked parents and her staff for the good results.
Anne Chepkemboi who topped the school had 416 marks while Timothy Khaemba emerged second with 413 as Margaret Atieno got 411.
Both Chepkemboi and Khaemba want to be engineers.
Atieno on the other hand wants to join Kenya High school and later become a medical Doctor.
The three candidates who spoke to Hot News said hard work and determination helped them Excel in the exams.
“I urge the next year class to work harder and believe in themselves and they will get good grades,” added Chepkomboi.
Other schools that performed well in Trans Nzoia include St Annes Kiminini, St Joseph’s the worker in Kwanza, Hilltop, Kitale Progressive and Kitale school.
