Social Media in Trans Nzoia was on Thursday awash with congratulatory messages to former Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa.
This is after he was nominated as Chief Administrative Secretary.
There were over 100 WhatsApp groups and more than twenty Facebook group pages whose members thanked President William Ruto for his nomination.
In a press release by Head of Public Service Felix Koskei , Wamalwa was ominated to be at the helm of the ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation.
Wamalwa is among 44 nominees who have been designated in all ministries and their names have been forwarded to the National Assembly for vetting.
Others are former Trans Nzoia nominated MCA Ann Wanjiku, Nicholas Rioba and Edwin Wandabusi.
The list has Sharif Ali, Isaac Mwaura,Rehema Hassan,Samuel Tunai, Millicent Omanga, Mohammed Saleh, Alfred Agoi and Beatrice Nyagah.
According to the notice, the President also nominated Joash Maangi, Catherine Waruguru, Hussein Dado, Charity Kibaba,Benjamin Washiali, Eng.Nicholas Gumbo,Kimani Ngunjiri,Victor Munyaka,Denis Itumbi,Simon Kamau,James Mbaluka,Khatibu Mwashetani,Stephene Lodepe,Mark Lomunokol,Anab Gure,Jackton Kiptanui,Daniel Kongo,Evans Kidero,Vincent Kemosi and Lillian Cheptoo.
The former Kiminini MP unsuccessfully vied for the Trans Nzoia Governor’s seat on August 8 on a Ford Kenya ticket.
Wamalwa holds a PhD in Public Administration and a Master in Strategic Management.
He has a wide range of experience in matters public having served as a member of Parliament for two terms.
He is also a former lecturer at the University of Nairobi with expertise in consultancy services as well.
