A new poll has revealed that majority of Kenyans want President William Ruto to reinstate former Interior CS Kithure Kindiki and his Defence counterpart Aden Duale to the cabinet.
The poll by Politrack Africa, said Based on their performance, the two should be re-appointed back to the cabinet.
72.7% of the respondents said Professor Kindiki maintained security measures across board, in-person visitation to various places with insecurity issues and that he was a humble and a selfless Leader.
64.6% said former Defence CS Aden Duale was focused and committed to his work, no known scandal since he took office and that he is an experienced leader.
68.3% of the respondents said Kindiki should be reappointed back to his Interior docket.
For Duale, 63.2% want him re-appointed to the Defence docket.
51.3% said they have regained President William Rutos confidence after the dissolution of the cabinet.
Politrack Africa is a leading polling firm.
It conducted the Poll from July 12 -15, 2024.
A total of 6,064 registered voters across all 47 counties in Kenya were interviewed using computer assisted telephonic interviews.
The pollster said the primary focus of the study was to assess the impact of the cabinet disbandment amidst widespread anti-government protests across the nation.
