Top performers in the KCPE exams continue to celebrate.
In Nairobi’s Thome Estate, pupils from Akima Springs Junior school are celebrating after half of the 2019 KCPE class scored more than 400 marks.
Trevor Mbuthia Njunji emerged top at the school with 427 marks.
He said he wants to be an Architect.
Angel Njeri Ng’ang’a came second with 419 marks.
She said she wants to be a Lawyer.
“I want to be a lawyer. I want to see people get Justice. However, my part time job will be a fashion designer because I want to see people smartly dressed,” she said.
She said the system encourages teachers and pupils to work hard.
“I want to congratulate all the pupils who sat the KCPE exams. They should know that the sky is the limit and continue working hard. I wish them success in their future endeavors,” she said.
The Director asked the Government and the Ministry of Education to ensure constant supply of books to private schools.
She said Private schools are happy with the new curriculum and that they have adjusted to it.
The school had a mean score of 373 marks.
Thome Estate is situated off the Northern bypass in Nairobi.
