Hired goons on Thursday morning stormed Machakos Road Inland Depot police line and evicted a policeman from his house in Nairobi’s industrial area.
His belongings were scattered all over the compound.
The Policeman’s documents were strewn all over.
The goons were armed with heavy metal bars.
During the incident, the father of two was at work at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA.
The officer who only identified himself to Hot News as Mwiti said he had not been given an order to vacate the House by his senior who oversees housing at the depot.
His children were in the house at the time when the goons arrived.
His neighbors who sought anonymity accused a senior officer Jonathan Kisaka in charge of housing of corruption.
“He allocates houses to the “highest bidder” said an officer.
They said Kisaka defied orders from his seniors to stop the eviction.
“He claims to be untouchable.” said one of the officers who spoke to Hot News in confidence.
Mwiti had been sharing the two bedroomed house with his colleague.
“I do not know where to begin. One of my children was sent home to collect school fees.” he said.
“JKIA officers are supposed to reside at JKIA lines at KAPU. Last year, they evicted all our officers who were residing in their lines. What right does he have to reside in Nairobi lines? JKIA KAPU should house him,” said Nairobi Police Commander Philip Ndolo.
Kisaka did not respond to our queries by press time.
