ODM reps in Nairobi have said besieged former City Assembly Clerk Jacob Ngwele plans to storm City Hall and cause chaos.
The reps said they will eject Ngwele if he does so.
A section of Jubilee MCAs allied to him said Ngwele will storm City Hall today Monday 14th and take over his former office.
The Jubilee reps said they will escort him.
This is despite being suspended by the County Assembly Service Board.
He was also kicked out by reps.
MCAs claimed Ngwele was never formerly appointed as the Assembly Clerk.
Edward Gichana was sworn in- in August, this year to replace Ngwele.
Ngwele rushed to court and obtained court orders barring Gichana from assuming office.
The case will be heard and determined on 16th October 2020.
When reached for comment, Ngwele laughed off the claims.
“Must I storm? Si I just walk! why storm back to my office! “he posed.
Another group of ODM MCAs who sought anonymity said the Speaker Benson Mutura has entered consent with Ngwele so that he returns to City Hall.
“We hear the Speaker has decided to ensure Ngwele is back. It is the County Assembly Service Board that suspended Ngwele and not the Speaker as a person. The new Speaker is violating the law and isolating other Board members,” said the ODM rep who sought anonymity.
By the time of going to press, Mutura had not responded to our queries.
Another Source at City Hall said ODM reps are opposed to the return of Ngwele and want Speaker Mutura to keep off Ngwele.
Ngwele fell out with former Speaker Beatrice Elachi who resigned.
The reps also promised to impeach Mutura if he sides with Ngwele.
