There was drama at Kangemi market on Friday night when a female passenger punched a man.
The two were scrumbling to occupy the front seat of a matatu which had stopped to pick passengers at Kangemi market along Waiyaki Waiyaki way.
The man who was the first to get into the matatu said he was stopped by the female passenger who asked him to either get in or leave her to occupy the front seat.
The woman ordered the man out of the vehicle and when the man stopped to ask why she was addressing him rudely- the woman gave him two blows in the face.
The man maintained his cool and did not fight back.
The driver of the Nissan matatu registration number KAN 106D told the male passenger that he should leave the woman alone.
“You will be beaten up by everybody here. Leave this woman alone. Why are you allowing a woman to beat you up? Useless man,”
“This woman is the owner of this matatu, you will not take her anywhere. After all – we will still clobber you,” the matatu driver said.
The man reported the matter at Kabete police station under OB number 72/2/2019.
Kabete police promised to investigate the matter and apprehend the driver and the woman.
T he incident left other passengers shocked with the conduct of the woman passenger and the driver.
