The Jubilee Party leadership in Nairobi has promised all political players free and fair party primaries.
During a meeting presided over by former Dagoreti MP Denis Waweru and Kamukiknji MP Yusuf Hassan, the candiadtes and party supporters were asked to remain united.
The sattgy meeting held on Friday at a local Hotel was aimed at fostering Party Unity.
Nairobi branch chairperson Gitonga Ndegwa together with the branch treasurer Stanley Waweru and over 100 aspirants attended the meeting.
Gitonga told meeting that they should ensure they garner as many seats in the City as possible.
“Jubilee Party is still alive and we want to inform the public that we will field candidates countrywide. Except for the presidential position where we have jointly agreed to back the Azimio La Umoja Candidate. All candidates in the party are equal and subject to free and fair nominations,” he said.
Nairobi gubernatorial candidates Agnes Kagure and Richard Ngatia attended.
Ngatia said Jubilee remains the party of choice for many.
The Kamukunji MP Yusuf Hassan who is the chairperson of Nairobi Jubilee MPs also called on the aspirants to rally their supporters behind the Azimio La Umoja movement.
