Nairobi MCAs led by California Ward Rep Hashim Kamau have told off those criticizing Governor Johnson Sakaja over the County feeding programme and the alleged swindling of taxpayer’s money.
The MCAs said they are aware of their role to oversight the executive and that the ‘enemies of progress’ are fighting to make the city dysfunctional.
Hashim said he has grown from a humble background where wearing shoes and getting two meals a day was a miracle.
“As the representatives of the people of Nairobi we distance ourselves from these premature politics and assure the enemies that Sakaja is here up to 2032. Many kids from the informal settlements hardly get lunch from home easing the burden on thousands of parents,” Hashim said.
He said after a year in office, Sakaja has at least two projects going on in every ward.
“Babu Owino we know you kill by gun and now you want to poison our children, we will not allow you. Former County Attorney Lydia Kwamboka if you were fired keep of the County government,” he added.
Mlango Kubwa MCA Susan Makungu lauded Sakaja for building the first County ICU and renal units at Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital.
” In less than a year, Governor Sakaja has tarmacked many roads, opened many stalled projects including markets and stadiums. The people interrupting the Governor we are going to expose you soon,” Makungu told journalists at City Hall.
She asked City residents to support Sakaja as better days are coming.
