The International Police Association (IPA) Kenya Section has donated masks, sanitizers, detergents, and disinfectants to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to fight Covid-19.
The donations were presented to the DCI boss George Kinoti on Tuesday at Mazingira House.
He was accompanied by his deputy Henry Ashmalla.
They are both IPA-Kenya members.
The association unites police officers both locally and internationally to promote international peace.
IPA- Kenya president Alfred Osur said the donations were contributed by members.
“The National Executive Board wishes to express its deep appreciation for the generous and kind efforts of these members.” he said.
Osur was accompanied by other officials including Secretary General Jared Ojuok,Head of Resources Mobilization Malkit Singh and Sachen Chandaria the CEO Orbit Chemicals Ltd.
Kinoti said the donations will be distributed to DCI officers countrywide while giving priority to those working in regions with high Covid-19 cases.
“The donations will go a long way in ensuring that NPS officers who are also front-line workers are protected from the pangs of COVID-19.” Kinot said.
