Two units at the newly built Kitale Teaching and Referral Hospital are fully operational.
Trans Nzoia Deputy Governor Phelomena Kapkory on Friday said the diabetic and Blood pressure wings have started offering services to patients.
Kapkory spoke after leading a delegation on a site visit at the hospital in the outskirts of Kitale town.
They inspected progress of the flagship project.
The DG said the over Sh 1 billion TT&RH will be completed in the next three months.
The delegation said most of the equipment were already installed and functioning.
At the same time, the DG said that atleast 3,500 traders are scheduled to occupy their space at the Masinde Muliro Business Centre.
The contractor is putting final touches on the market.
The ultra-modern business centre situated within the Kitale Bus Park and whose construction has been ongoing is set to open its doors to the general public.
The Deputy Governor was accompanied by the County Secretary Truphosa Amere, Health Chief Officer Dr Emmanuel Wanjala and his finance counterpart Ashton Mulupi,the Director of Governor’s performance management Samuel Eren’g and his Delivery Unit counterpart Edward Khaoya.
