Rungiri Mixed Day Secondary school in Kikuyu Subcounty, Kiambu County is celebrating good results after the release of the 2019 KCSE results.
Most of the students in the school come from poor backgrounds.
Two candidates Geoffrey Githiri and Dillan Philip scored A- in the exams.
Githiri scored an A- of 74 points while Dillan Philip scored an A- of 73 points.
Dillan Philip said he wants to study Engineering at the University of Nairobi.
Geffrey Githiri on his part said he will pursue civil Engineering.
The School’s Principal, Francis Gakuo attributed the success to hard
work, teamwork between staff’, PTA, the school’s board, and the students.
“The candidates were determined to produce the best results. We supported
them. They have done us proud. We know they will do the same in University,” Gakuo said.
Gakuo added that good results are achieved in any environment where
candidates are encouraged to work hard.
He said the School sponsor, the PCEA church also played a great role in ensuring the students succeed.
