Embakasi West MP George Theuri has asked Governor Mike Sonko to be firm and serve the electorate.
Theuri asked Sonko not to listen to his detractors.
The MP spoke on Friday while accompanying Governor Mike Sonko to Mama Lucy Kibaki hospital.
At the Hospital, Sonko launched the queue management system.
Theuri added that he is optimistic Sonko will deliver his election pledges to City residents.
He hailed Sonko’s road projects in the constituency, the upgrade of Mama Lucy hospital and building of a fire station in the constituency.
“We have seen a lot and especially the projects you have done in Embakasi West and we are looking forward to seeing more,” Theuri said.
He thanked the County Government for renovating Wakulima Market.
The construction of the market is funded by the World Bank.
The legislator called on the Governor to convene a meeting with all leaders so that more development ideas can be shared for the benefit of Nairobi residents.
Sonko said he respects all elected leaders in Nairobi and that he has no problem working with them.
He said he welcomes positive and factual criticism from leaders and residents.
“I respect all those who are criticizing us, but they should do so with facts without lying.” Sonko said.
