Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has called on City Residents to embrace each other and shun corruption.
Speaking on Mashujaa Day and in an apparent reference to Speaker Beatrice Elachi, Sonko said there is need to embrace Unity.
Sonko was pictured together with Speaker Beatrice Elachi in Mombasa while attending the Mashujaa Day celebrations.
“We should resist corruption and other ill-motives which hinder development.” Sonko said.
Several City MCA’s who were opposed to Speaker Beatrice Elachi have been asked by their respective Party leaders to tone down.
A week ago, there were chaos, fighting and stone throwing when some reps led by Matopeni MCA Abdi Guyo tried to eject Elachi from the Assembly.
