Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has donated water tanks, facemasks, sanitizers, thermometers and other essential items to Churches, Mosques and Shrines in Nairobi County.
Sonko said this is ahead of the opening of churches on Sunday.
“Since the places of worship are required to meet the set conditions like hosting 100 congregants at any given worship session, I expect our clergies will adhere to the regulations in order for us to stop the spread of Covid-19,” he said.
Ruai Mosque, Kenya Assembly of God in Ruai Church and Our Lady Queen of Peace South B were among the first places of worship to receive the donations.
