The African Divine Church (ADC) leaders from Westalnds Constituency have vowed to support LSK President Nelson Havi for the 2022 Westland’s Parliamentary seat.
Speaking on Sunday during a church service at ADC Matendo in Kangemi, the leaders said area MP Tim Wanyonyi has abandoned them.
Led by Chief Vicar Ernest Aluvale, they said only Governor Mike Sonko came to their rescue when they needed help.
“Sonko helped us and came to our rescue. Our own MP Tim Wanyonyi has never been seen and has not helped us up to now. As a church, we have never seen him,” Aluvale said.
When he was the Governor, Sonko had a direct touch with the residents.
Despite being impeached and bundled out of office after refusing to assent to the more that shs 38 billion Nairobi County Budget that allocated more to the NMS, Sonko is still a darling of the local City residents.
LSK President Nelson Havi has started a tour of Westlands and vowed to take on Wanyonyi in 2022.
Aluvale said as a church, they have found “their own” in Havi.
“Mgeni Njoo mwenyeji apone. We now have our own. Wanyonyi has not helped us, and we believe you will be our savior,” Aluvale told Havi.
Nelson Havi asked the leaders to identify a piece of land which can be purchased, and a modern church put up.
“You tell me how much it will cost. We shall marshal resources and buy the land for church use,” he told the congregation.
