EALA MP and former Kamukunji MP Simon Mbugua has told off Governor Mike Sonko’s critics.
Addressing residents of South C where Sonko officially opened Access Road to Olive Hospital, off Ole Shapara Road in South C Estate, Langata Sub-County, Mbugua called on the Governor to stay put and soldier on.
“We are coming back to the ground to ensure all promises Sonko made to the people are fulfilled. Even if you bundle him out of office, jail him or do whatever you want, his work will go on,” Mbugua said.
Mbugua told the residents that the access road had been grabbed by a private developer but Governor Sonko reclaimed it.
The EALA MP said Sonko has led the recovery of several grabbed public land in Nairobi.
He said this led some people in Government in collusion with the grabbers to bundle him out of office.
“Since people do not want Sonko to work and recover grabbed properties, they locked him out of office based on fake charges,” he said.
Sonko said his administration has constructed over 138km of roads in Nairobi since he assumed office in August 2017.
“I will be touring all Wards in Nairobi to unveil projects initiated by my administration ranging from roads, boreholes, markets and ongoing projects in the education sector,” the Governor said.
