Two suspended CEC’s in Nairobi County have made a surprise comeback.
On Tuesday, suspended CEC’s for Health Hitan Majevda and his colleague Veska kangogo made a “triumphant entry into City Hall”.
Majevda had been suspended after several County Hospitals went without drugs.
On the other hand, Kangogo was suspended for alleged “insubordination”.
The two accompanied Governor Sonko during the electronic disbursement of Sh400 million bursary funds for needy students in Nairobi County schools.
However, the two will head different dockets since their comeback necessitated a mini reshuffle.
Majevda is the new Transport and Infrastructure CEC whereas Kangogo Environment.
Currently, Pauline Kahiga is the Devolution and Public Management Service CEC, Lucia Mulwa is in charge of Education and Winfred Kathangu Finance.
Mohammed Dagane is the Health CEC.
Initially, he was in charge of roads.
Larry Wambua is heading the Agriculture docket, Allan Igambi Trade, Newton Munene ICT and Charles Kerich Urban planning and Lands.
During the mini-reshuffle, the Chief Officers were also transferred.
Transport Chief Officer Fredrick Karanja was moved to the Agriculture sector.
The new health Chief Officer is Washington Makodingo and Mohammed Salah the urban planning and housing chief officer.
David Makori remains the Environment Chief Officer whereas Justus Kathenge still mans the Planning sector.
One of the long serving employees at City Hall lawyer Stephen Mwangi is in control of the Lands sector and Fredrick Nzioki has been maintained as the Chief officer Trade.
Other Chief Officers maintained by Governor Sonko are Halkano Waqo (ICT), Mohammed Abdi (Water), Leboo Morintat (Public Service Management), and Anne Mwenda (Disaster Management).
