Deputy President William Ruto on Friday termed Cherangany MP Joshua Kuttuny a lost “Kalenjin”.
Speaking in his kalenjin dialect in Kuttuny’s Biribiriet Village in Cherangany,Ruto said the MP is colluding with his enemies to “kill him politically”,
Ruto said Kuttuny is digging his own political grave.
Ruto was addressing hundreds of residents during the burial of former new KCC Director and politician Kibiwott Koross.
The DP assured Cherangany residents that they will still get government development despite the attack from the MP adding that the electorate helped to vote jubilee into power.
On Wednesday during an interview with citizen TV, Kuttuny alleged that the office of the deputy president took over sh.18 billion from the defunct office of the prime Minister meant to compensate mau evictees but they are yet to be resettled elsewhere.
“The work of your MP has become just making noise, but whether he is there or not the government will still serve the people of Cherangany. This is because you voted for this government, “he said.
The DP was accompanied by Soy MP Caleb Kositany and Oscar Sudi of Kapseret.
Others present were area Deputy Governor Stanley Tarus, Kiminini legislature Chris Wamalwa, former MPs Wesley Korir and Kipruto Kirwa , former minister Noah Wekesa and former Maendeleo ya Wanakwake chairperson Zipporah Kittony and politician Kakai Bisau.
The DP said he will endorse Wesley or Kirwa to replace Kuttuny as MP in 2022.
Sudi asked Wesley Korir to forgive him saying he supported Kuttuny to clinch the Jubilee nomination without knowing he would turn against Ruto.
Kositany wondered why Kuttuny is vocal outside his constituency but silent and absent during serious community events.
He claimed Kuttuny has been contracted by some forces to spoil Ruto’s votes in 2022.
He added that Kuttuny is spreading propaganda over the shs 18 billion.
Kimini ni MP Chris Wamalwa asked the government to wait until this year’s National exams are over before evicting and compensating the evictees.
Ruto and Wekesa at the same time called for elections of jubilee saying the Constitution of the party requires grassroots election be done before March.
