Jubilee Party has started grassroots mobilization in Nairobi to solidify its political base in the city ahead of 2027 polls.
Speaking during a meeting with 2022 Jubilee MCA aspirants, the party’s General Secretary
Jeremiah Kioni, faulted the party’s preparedness ahead of 2022 general election.
He said dictatorship and brokers made the ruling party to lose.
The aspirants were led by Teddy Mutu.
Others present were Eddah Marete, Doris Kanario, Fanya Mambo, James Ndiba, among others.
The aspirants faulted the conduct of the party’s secretariat and the National Elections Board in the last election.
The meeting saw journalist turned politician Torrez Omoll jump ship from KANU to join Jubilee Party.
He is the founder of Mng’aro Mtaani,a youth empowerment outfit in Nairobi slums.
He ran for MCA seat for Lucky Summer ward.
Kioni said Omoll is focused and will be an asset for the party in the city politics ahead of 2027.
“We need every tribe in the Jubilee party to make it stronger so brother Omoll welcome and we believe in your ground work. Twende mbele pamoja.” Kioni said.
“I have come to be part of the team so that we may win together. I want to assure our party leader Uhuru Kenyatta that we will not betray him like Sabina Chege and her team did.” Torrez said.
Torrez added,
” I heard some people telling Uhuru to slaughter a goat for them to reconcile but where will he get the goat if they are the ones who stormed his Ruiru dairy farm and stole all the goats?”
