Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has appointed communication Don Felix Sialo,Deputy County Secretary.
Sialo holds a Phd in Development Communication from Laikipia University, a Master of Journalism from Moi University and a Bachelor of Mass Communication from Uganda’s Islamic University.
Sialo was a lecturer at Maasai Mara University before joining politics.
In August, the scholar unsuccessfully vied for Kaplamai MCA seat.
The Governor has also nominated ten individuals for the positions of Chief Officers in various departments.
Natembeya has picked Kennedy Etyang for Public Service management while Sammy Sichangi will serve in his office.
Sichangi outweighed former MCAs Peter Waswa and Emmanuel Waswa who had been shortlisted for the same position.
Natembeya’s long term ally and Cherangany subcounty administrator Dorothy Musikoyo will be the new Chief Officer for water and environment while the son of former Kwanza MP George Kapten, Philip will be at the helm of Lands Department.
Nyukuri beat former Chief officer John Mengwa who is now living with disability after being involving in an accident early this year while Philip hammered former CEC Ken Simiyu in the interview.
Little known George Mwangi has been picked as Public Works chief officer while Dr.Emmanuel Wanjala will be in charge of Health Services.
Educationist and Endebess Sub County administrator Dr.Scholastica Nalobile who has experience both in Education and Administration matters did not make it for Education docket and instead Jane Masika was picked in the department.
Others are Ashton Mulupi(Finance and Economic Planning),Patrick Okong’o(Agriculture) and Roselyne Nasiebanda(Gender, Youth and Sports).
Trans Nzoia professionals have praised the list and congratulated the winners.
Sialo thanked the Governor for the position saying he will diligently perform his duties.
The list has been sent to the local assembly for vetting.
